Boot Pullers (boot jacks)

These are an old fashioned tool that used to be traditionally made of wood, but we have used the same principle to

construct them out of horse shoes.

The way they work is to place one foot on the flat area and then locking the heel of the other boot in the jaws of the jack, you simply ease your foot out of the boot, then repeat with the other boot.

Very simple and very effective.

either can be hung up on a nail or peg when not in use.

Coat / Tack Racks

These racks were originally made for hanging coats etc on , but we realized they would be just as effective for hanging up bits and pieces of tack, etc.

The rack above is the six peg version, we also make a three peg version. To fill an odd sized location we can build a single or a twin to make up a size to fit.

If longer lengths are needed it is best to purchase multiples of six’s or threes to make up the length required.

Tool Racks

These are designed to take either T handle or D Handle garden or equestrian tools, such as spades and forks, if mounted high enough they can even be used to hang up hoes etc.

They are made in two sizes, the three hook version above and a two hook version shown below.

Novelty products

This is a novelty key holder, it is made from a recycled horseshoe, reshaped to form the horses head and tail, it has detail of the eyes, nostrils, mane and tail forged on when hot, and the key hooks welded into the old nail holes. Unfortunately the picture does not do justice to the detailing which is clearly visible on the real thing. Size 11” x 5”

Boot / Shoe Cleaner

This is a sturdy and stable freestanding boot cleaner, it has a central bar to remove mud from the bottom of boots and shoes, and the brushes each side will remove any mud and dirt from the sides without the need to use a broom. It measures 13” long x 12” deep x 10.5” high.

Ragwort Fork

This is a heavy duty ragwort fork which we have designed ourselves and has been tested by our friends who have a paddock full of Ragwort.

It has four 10mm tines which are 4” long and made in a pattern which holds and lifts the entire plant and root ball out in one go.

It has been tested on very hard dry stony ground and it performed admirably , the only time it was found to fail was when attempting to remove very small plants, but we also make a long handled multi weed tool which will remove these small weeds.

Multi weed Tool

This is a tool for removing smaller weeds than the ragwort fork, it is fitted to a 60” straight shaft and has four tines, they are 8mm diameter, with the outer two being 3” long and the inner ones 4” long, the tine spacing is reduced on this tool compared to the ragwort fork so the smaller weeds don’t pass through the gap, it has a levering pad on the back to help with weed removal.

Dutch Hoe

This is a variation in dutch hoe design, I personally have never seen this pattern for sale anywhere, I originally saw this type made from an old draw hoe that my Grandfather heated in his forge and basically straightened out the hook and reversed it to make a dutch hoe, having used this particular hoe for the last twenty or more years I have found it to be vastly superior to any of the 'A' frame type on the market as this has only the central rod to catch rubbish around, plus it will cut on the push and pull strokes, it all amounts to a tool that requires the minimum amount of effort to use.

It has a 6” x 2” blade which is hand forged, sharpened and polished, mounted onto a 1/2” steel swan neck which is then welded to the handle socket, it has a 60” wooden handle.

Boot Stand

This boot stand will take 3 pairs of wellies or riding boots, and keep them tidy when not in use. It is made from 6 horseshoes and tubular uprights to place the boots on.

Hanging basket bracket

This is a robust and very strong hanging basket bracket, it has four mounting holes pre drilled, and is made from three horse shoes welded together to make the wall plate, the arm and scrolls are made from 3/4” flat bar, which should be able to hold even the heaviest of hanging baskets without risk of bending or breakage.

Pot plant holders

This is the compact version of our plant pot holders, it is another product made from re used horse shoes, utilising five of them to make the wall plate, which is pre drilled for screw and rawlplug fixing. Three more shoes are welded on at right angles to make the hoops for putting the pot plants in, they look at their best with small trailing plants in them.

Size 16” wide x 11” high, hoops stand out by 6.5”, capacity is 3 x 4” pots.

This is the larger version of the compact pot plant holder, it is made in the same way but with six horse shoes making the wall plate to give larger trailing plants more space to spill over without trailing over the bottom holder, it is also pre drilled for fitting.

Originally made as a brolly stand with the drip tray at the bottom it could equally be used for walking sticks, it measures 18 ½ “ to the top ring and approx 20” dia at the top and is finished in black gloss.
