Ironwork Renovation, Repair &

Modification

We can undertake renovation or repair of most types of wrought ironwork, from a complete strip back of old paint and rust, possibly including grit blasting and re painting, to replacing some decorative components which have deteriorated due to rust.

We can modify gates or railings to fit a different opening or insert extra infills within if required, say to keep pets or children inside.

All kinds of modifications can be carried out.

We have a well equiped workshop where we can carry out Mig welding in mild or stainless steel, mma welding in mild steel and cast iron repairs.

We can cut sheet steel profiles by plasma arc cutting.

We have a hydraulic press in which we can press angles and curves within ironwork structures.

Workshop Services

We can produce curves in flat bar from 6ft diameter right down to 3” diameter and from 6ft diameter down to 4ft diameter in 3/4” tube.

We undertake all our own forge work, from forging a gate hand latch to making scrolls and forging all our own hinge pivots which we use on our gates.

All the scrolls and twisted bars we use are all hand made by us, we do not use bought in scrolls and bars and simply weld them together, (it may be cheaper, but its not handmade when half the parts are made by machine!)

We can offer various finishes on wrought ironwork , painted, gloss or satin. Zinc plated or hot dipped galvanising.
