We are situated in Burgh St Peter, Norfolk with the nearest town of Beccles about 5 miles away to the west, and lowestoft to the east.   We supply and fit larger metalwork items to the local area including Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Beccles, Bungay, Loddon, Ellough and the surrounding area.

Here at P.Sharman horticultural engineers we design and manufacture artistic ironwork, otherwise known as decorative wrought ironwork, We carry out most of the metal forging ourselves, making metal scrolls by hand and turning metal twists by hand also, in fact all of the forging we do is done entirely by hand, as the blacksmith did years ago

The range of items we manufacture varies from small candlesticks with metal twists to gates with standard straight rods or metal scrolls, or any combination of metal forging to meet the customers specification. Decorative metalwork lends itself very well to adding an artistic flair to any purely practical object, such as boot cleaners or a gate, and the possibilities are only limited by imagination.

We like many others who manufacture decorative metalwork we refer to wrought ironwork as a means of describing what we do. Wrought iron as such is no longer manufactured (except in small quantities for specialist repairs) so all modern (new) wrought ironwork is inevitably mild steel and the term wrought ironwork refers to mild steel forging or wrought (meaning worked) by the blacksmith.

We offer a measuring and design service for decorative ironwork gates and railings , and will draw up a few designs with maybe metal twists, straight bar, twisted bar or metal scrolls depending on the customers preferences, any of which can then be modified to meet the customers satisfaction.
